What is a 3D/4D scan?
A 3D/4D scan will provide an opportunity to view your baby’s features and movements. We offer this scan between 22 and 32 weeks, however scanning can be performed past 32 weeks although it can be more difficult to obtain a clear image if your baby is lying in an awkward position.
How accurate is the 3D/4D scan?
It is very rare that we are unable to obtain any 3D still and 4D moving images of your baby. If your baby is a little camera shy we will pause the scan and offer you a cold fizzy drink, chocolate and sometimes a walk or just a jiggle around will help baby move.
If after this, and at the end of your scanning session we have either not obtained any or only unclear images, you will be invited back for a rescan on an alternative date for £35 fee. From experience it is advisable that we rescan on an alternative date rather that later on the same day.

Scan times will not be extended to improve images if your baby is not in an ideal position to capture a 3D/4D image.
Up to 2 black and white thermal prints of your baby in 3D will be provided.
The entire scan will be recorded to a personalised DVD, and all the 3D stills saved to a personalised CD rom.
